Yesterday in Rio students watched an artistic video in class dealing with an artist who created art using nature and natural objects that were incorporated into landscapes. After class students and advisers relaxed on the beach until it was time to celebrate Matt D's birthday. A friendly english speaking fellow on the street recommended us a "awesome" beer garden/restaurant to go to which everyone enjoyed. After dinner the students bonded on the beach.
-until next time!

The artist's name was Andy Goldsworthy!! And, later in the program when we get to the Amazon -- all of you will get to create their own ephemeral art project. By the way, GREAT photo!!! Jules and Sue
